I f you are taliking about the outter barrel than NO it does not effect any airsoft gun velocity or power. If your gun is power by battery then and you want it to shoot stronger then get a bigger one. if your gun use gas then use the best gas for the gun

I am no photo expert, so my answer is based on the basic or general features. Also will keep this simple. I bought this camera over a few months ago, when it was $ 150 more, but also got a free printer with it. I should have waited, but needed a camera right away. The best features that was my choice was the small size, and no lens will protrude -optical.zoom. Also uses secure digital card , which is more generally common. Have not used it too much, but fairly happy with it. The thing that I do not like is the dock station or cradle, you need that to recharge the battery. Also need it to connect to computer and tv. If you want to print large posters and taken even higher quality pictures or have the option, wait for the newer model. Usually the next model is an improvement of the previous model. So compare them both to see what has changed. So for the compact size its great for using it locally. But for traveling, I recommend the Nikon L14, it has the longest battery life.
